Barn weddings

There’s something so effortlessly beautiful about a barn wedding — relaxed, romantic and full of character. As a Hampshire wedding florist, I absolutely love working in these spaces, where flowers can really soften the setting and bring everything together.
Barn venues often have natural textures like wood, stone and open beams, which pair perfectly with loose, garden-inspired floral designs. Think soft colour palettes, flowing greenery and seasonal flowers.
For this style of wedding, I often create:
Romantic bridal bouquets with soft, layered blooms
Delicate bridesmaids bouquets in complementary tones
Natural buttonholes with subtle texture
Floral accents for entrances, signage and ceremony spaces
One of my favourite approaches is to keep everything feeling cohesive but not too “perfect” — flowers that look like they’ve just been gathered, while still feeling elegant and considered.
Seasonality also plays a big part. Summer weddings lend themselves to lighter palettes with soft pastels or warm neutrals, while autumn brings richer tones and texture.
If you’re planning a barn wedding in Hampshire or Surrey, flowers are such an important way to elevate the space and make it feel personal to you.
